This is an excerpt from Nicholas Schmidle’s amazing New Yorker article, “Getting Bin Laden: What Happened That Night In Abbottabad.” The essay reads like a Jason Bourne script and should be read by anyone who is interested in a detailed, well researched, account of what went in to finding Bin Laden and his eventual death.
I wish I knew how to check my messages on new Tumblr. Unfortunately, I can’t. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
Thought this Terry stop satirical cartoon was funny. Not necessarily true everywhere though. What I have learned about New York Criminal Procedure law in the last month or so: Take the seminal Supreme Court case and make it more strict. Hodari D. who? Jencks, huh?
Paul LaRosa, Huffington Post Journalist re the Casey Anthony verdict.
In this short article, LaRosa efficiently expresses his reaction/opinion to the verdict. Opinions like this are refreshing in the midst of the uneducated, bias, and derogatory comments that have been made since the verdict was announced yesterday. It is undoubtedbly a sad story and everyone is free to have their opinion of the verdict; but no one should forget how unique our adversarial system is and the tenets it is based on.
If anyone is interested I will be live tweeting the Champions League Final between Manchester United FC and FC Barcelona tomorrow. You can follow me here: @GabeACarrera
Just to give you a heads up, I am a Manchester United fan but will try to stay as neutral as I can. Having said that, if Chicharito scores there may be a lot of “CHICHAAAA!!!” involved. Hope everyone enjoys the final.
In the middle of law school finals. Will start posting again more regularly in a week or so.
